Industrial wastewater pollution control and analysis of characteristics of the proposed project

Absrtact
This project summarized non-regulated items in the Effluent Standards based on the current trend of effluent standards of a variety of countries, pollutant toxicity, industrial usage, and concerned domestic issues. We analyzed the nitrogen concentration from printed circuit board manufacturing industries, slaughter houses, and hospitals, and drafted the proposed suggestion for the Effluent Standards. Moreover, this project renewed the strategy for acute toxicity regulations in the Water Pollution Control Measures and Test Reporting Management Regulations based on the investigation of acute toxicity on daphnia, zebrafish embryo, and luminescent bacteria for industrial effluents. We concluded both domestic and foreign POPs management and the industrial usage in Taiwan and drafted suggestion to the supplementary investigation for wastewater POP and relevant control strategy. Besides, we have analyzed the regulated items (including dioxin, pesticides, ammonia-nitrogen, and E coli.) in the Effluent Standards to evaluate the compliance of industries. Also, we revised the implementation to the corresponding Effluent Pollutant Elimination Management Plans. We traced the reported data of mercury contents within the coals used in coal-fired power plants.
